The explainer video is still in the works

For years there was a footnote on the landing page saying obviously, the explainer video is in the works, and for just as many years an <iframe> sat right underneath it, commented out, patiently waiting for a video that never got made. The landing page has just been redesigned. The footnote is gone. But what was actually inside that comment deserves better than a {/* */}, so here it is, moved to a place where it can finally play.

It was never an explainer video. It was Faye Wong singing Dreams — the Cranberries song¹, in Cantonese, the one she carries through Chungking Express². Nothing about it explains what this website does, and everything about it explains why this website exists.

As for the explainer video: still in the works, in the way that things are in the works. Until then the #demo on the landing page does the explaining, and Faye does the rest.
